prayer

my girlfriend wrote this :

My Prayer for Us

Lord, Your Faithfulness and Goodness is astounding.  Earlier this very year I had a sucky boyfriend who didn't love You; he was selfish and uncaring; he didn't even want to talk to me on the phone; he didn't care about purity or the things of Heaven.  And then, two months after the end of that relationship, You introduce me to him, one who is capable of love and has said that he loves me more than life itself; one who would drop anything and everything for me; one who is determined to keep me as pure as the day he met me; one who has committed his life to serving You and Your people.  Lord, I love him.  Thank You so much for giving us this love.  I ask that, if it be Your Will, You would safeguard our love and make it grow; keep the evil one away from us; do not let him destroy this love.  Guide us in Your Way and help us to keep You first.

My prayer for us

God thank you for all that you do, Thank you for life.  Thank you for the life that we get to share together, Lord you have blessed us in so many ways.  You gave me a girl who is perfect for me.  One who is willing just to cuddle up in my arms, and make me feel like the strongest man in the world.  Thank you for giving a girl who is willing to forgive my short commings.  For a girl who is willing to fight with me to keep this relationship in purity.  Thank you Lord for a godly woman who is not only willing to serve you, but is willing to challenge me spiritually.  Thank you for a woman who is willing to stand up for what she beleives in.  Thank you God for a woman who is not only physically beautiful but is also got an amazing inner beauty.  Keep us in your will, guide and direct our paths, Keep us pure, give us your Godly wisdom, Keep us from harm, You are our love and with that we give you thanks

Psalm 25

hey i came across this psalm this morning and thought it was so awesome i just had to share it!  I woke up this morning and was in just an increadible mood, and this scripture made it even better!!!

Psalm 25

Of David.

 1To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul;

 2 in you I trust, O my God.
       Do not let me be put to shame,
       nor let my enemies triumph over me.

 3 No one whose hope is in you
       will ever be put to shame,
       but they will be put to shame
       who are treacherous without excuse.

 4 Show me your ways, O LORD,
       teach me your paths;

 5 guide me in your truth and teach me,
       for you are God my Savior,
       and my hope is in you all day long.

 6 Remember, O LORD, your great mercy and love,
       for they are from of old.

 7 Remember not the sins of my youth
       and my rebellious ways;
       according to your love remember me,
       for you are good, O LORD.

 8 Good and upright is the LORD;
       therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.

 9 He guides the humble in what is right
       and teaches them his way.

 10 All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful
       for those who keep the demands of his covenant.

 11 For the sake of your name, O LORD,
       forgive my iniquity, though it is great.

 12 Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD ?
       He will instruct him in the way chosen for him.

 13 He will spend his days in prosperity,
       and his descendants will inherit the land.

 14 The LORD confides in those who fear him;
       he makes his covenant known to them.

 15 My eyes are ever on the LORD,
       for only he will release my feet from the snare.

 16 Turn to me and be gracious to me,
       for I am lonely and afflicted.

 17 The troubles of my heart have multiplied;
       free me from my anguish.

 18 Look upon my affliction and my distress
       and take away all my sins.

 19 See how my enemies have increased
       and how fiercely they hate me!

 20 Guard my life and rescue me;
       let me not be put to shame,
       for I take refuge in you.

 21 May integrity and uprightness protect me,
       because my hope is in you.

 22 Redeem Israel, O God,
       from all their troubles!

Finding Myself

Im trying to find myself

But im getting lost at every turn

Two steps forward and one step back

Im mixed up and I cant even figure out where I want to go

Look at my life now

Where do I go from here

I need some simple directions

But its not like I can just simply my problems and let them go

Im in a tailspin

Don’t know what is up or down

Somebody please just show me the way

I cant find my way out of this maze and there is no place to go

So many different choices

Which one do I choose this time

Why isn’t life more simple to deal with

Why can’t somebody just decide for me and tell me where to go

Im out on my own

I don’t have a safety net

So hold up your arms and catch me

Or at least give me some answers so that ill know how to go

Id offer a hand

I would like to help you

Maybe I could offer some advice

But I can’t even find myself and I don’t know what it is to go

*probably to the tune of punk rock genre

All men have a beauty to fight for, a prize to win.  All men are treasure hunters, seeking a treasure of unknown wealth and beauty.  The greatest gem could not compare and no amount of costly gold or the world’s riches could purchase this treasure.  It is indescribable, completely captivating, it makes men crazy at the mere thought of this treasure.  But what if this treasure does not want to be found? What if this magnificent pearl has no desire to be fought for and won?  What then, does the man who has been seeking this treasure all his life just give up and let it all drift away?  Does he in turn search for another treasure, maybe one slightly less magnificent then the original?  Or does he continue to pursue this captivating beauty until the end of the earth?  See this proposes a moral dilemma, on one hand you have the one item all men are seeking, which does not wish to be discovered.  On the other hand the man’s heart will never be content with anything less then his heart’s desire.  So here is another question the man must ask himself, does the treasure truly not wish to be found, or does it simply just not know it does indeed want to be fought for and found?  Does this treasure know its immense worth, how much joy and happiness it will bring the man seeking it, just at the mere sight of this blessed symbol of radiance? So what then does a man do, as he searches his soul?  The decision is agonizing, the thoughts tormenting.  For what does a man live for if his life long search is in vane?  Man lives for one thing, fights for one prize, and seeks only one treasure.  Sure he has seen and even tasted other treasures, but none can compare to the one he seeks now.  Yet that elusive beauty which captivates him so, desires at the moment to not be gallantly fought for and rescued.  It seeks to remain hidden, where none can find it, and does not desire for the man who is searching for it to find it.  A weary man might loose heart in this trying of a situation.  For this man is willing to storm every stronghold, fight the dragons, and conquer all in the name of obtaining this prize.  Yet, it seems that all of that would be to no avail.  For what can a man seek if that treasure does not seek to be found?  A true gallant knight this man is, up for the battle and adventure that lies ahead.  Should only this beautiful prize give any indication or desire to be found then this man will rush in, and grab hold of the ray of essence it omits.  He will overcome all obstacles and give up everything he has just to be in the presence of this beauty.  For this is the treasure he has been seeking all his life.  The heavens will rejoice when this man is united with his beautiful treasure.  So now we must ask what now shall this man do?

Walking Along

By Joshua Cole

Every day I keep on walking along

Wake up to sing a brand new song

The music goes as we keep on living

It requires that we keep on giving

Because of this life is full of pride

With every step one more stride

We accomplish so much more

As we get closer to heaven’s door

Every day is a moment in time

As long as we keep walking we are fine

I used to think I stood alone

But now I realize no one is on their own

We walk along together

Life is so much better

Every day begins a journey

As long as I continue to walk I do not worry

For I know everyday I keep walking along

Is another day I have woken up to sing this song
